a few words about...
listen to the full album !
Yes, a soundtrack, again.
(Well, I love cinema. And books. Both are great sources of inspiration fot music.)

Libero is probably less known than Le Retour (The Return) who inspired my previous album.
It is the first film directed by the italian actor Kim Rossi Stuart, a family drama focused on Tommi, an 11 years old boy trying to exist by himself between a elusive mother and a temperamental father - to sumarize the plot very quickly.
The movie is smart, realistic, rough and dignified at the same time. Young Alessandro Morace embodies a very moving Tommi, while Kim Rossi Stuart balances between brutality, despair and love as a brilliant tightrope walker.

Such a retaining story inspired me a music as light and realistic as possible. There is a lot of guitar, piano, bass, flat drums, soft synth or strings pads. And harmonica too, because I love this instrument - even if it's not so popular for many people. (As oboe - I like oboe too.
Well, nobody's perfect.)

I wouldn't say Libero is my best achievement. But I like it a lot.
The thing is it's precisely what I wanted it to sound. Like Le Retour but with more control, right in the middle of the target.

So, when i've finished it, I was about to think it would be my last album so far. Because I felt as if I wouldn't have anything interesting to express for a long time.
It's been almost true - apart two or three things I needed to say about personal matters in a one more project.
