a few words about...
This one could be entitled Variations Synthétiques 2, as its creation obeys the same logic.

My mentor Jean-Michel Jarre published a new album called Metamorphosis at the beginning of 2000. I was waiting impatiently for it as usual, and as for Oxygene 7-13 in 1997, felt a bit disappointed when I finally listened to the result.

So I reacted the same way and began to work on a new project that I wanted to sound really "electronic". I had no other precise idea than this one, and it was really fun just to look for good melodies, to elaborate exciting bass sequences and to play with abstracted sounds.
Ironically I entitled it Anamorphosis, which was the clearest way I found to say this project was a distorsion of Jarre work and musical spirit.

It was also a huge relief to let my mind and heart in peace after the exhausting implication I put in Le Manoir de Cécilian, and the very long period it took me to achieve it.
I wrote and recorded Anamorphosis in a few months (about six, if I remember well), without any pressure.

I still enjoy the result, even if the global sound skeaks a bit - Anamorphosis is the last album I recorded on tape.
Having no partition to replay it, I'll let this one as it is. Better as nothing...
