Fabien and I are friends for a very, very long time.

I was 12 and he was 15 when we met. I was in middle school, he was in high school. To me he was a intimidating "grown-up". And I probably looked like a uninteresting kid to him. We were not supposed to be friends, I guess.

But music is magic.

A few months later, we discovered that we were both fans of Jean-Michel Jarre - which not a very popular assertion among teenagers at this time (has it ever be ?) We were both playing keyboards. And we were both trying to write our own music.

It was enough to start something which was going to become a long and strong friendship.

We've played music together as often as we could. We are the first listeners of each other music.

And we don't really like New Year's celebrations.

​

So, when the transition to the new millenium came up, we decided to hide as far as possible of other people and to take refuge in our music.

Two keyboards, a multi-track recorder, and one night to improvise : here is the result.

 

Fabien edited the whole thing, letting ten songs as remembrances of this very special session. Some of then are pretty goods (we used them for our next albums), others are just funny - well, when it's late at night, sometimes inspiration flies away and let happy foolishness express itself.

Most of this music may be not listenable by everyone, so we'll keep it for ourselves. But this is of course a very good memory for us (twenty years ago...).

Something we've learnt from, and helped us to work in a more serious way on our next common project : The Sixth Sense.
