a few words about...
Something to listen
At the beginning of 2025, my dear old friend and fellow composer Fabien Labonde surprised me by revisiting this album.
He identified the best ideas of the record, carefully selected them, and turned them into a single 24-minute piece — half of the original album, from which he truly drew out the best, in a Replay Project that reflects his finesse and intensity.

His elegant playing and technical mastery completed the work, finally making this music presentable, and I am now happy to share it.

As many readers, I discovered Stephen King when I was around 14. Summer time, I read a lot and don't have enough books. I don't like horror very much, but the name of King is so famous I feel I have to try at least of his books.
I chose by chance The Shining (not so bad, eh ?) and Pet Sematary (so dark and terrifying, but brilliant !), which hooked me.
Then I read a lot of his books. I didn't know much about King and his work, so I continued to choose by chance.
Which led me to The Dark Tower.

At the time, there were only the first three books of the series. The Gunslinger thrilled me a lot. It was so different from his other books, but still deep, intriguing, violent and strangely moving.

Obvious consequence : I decided to put the book in music, and hoped to do the same with its sequels.
I never finished the first one.

The Gunslinger is a uncompleted album. With 51 minutes of music, I hardly adapted half of the 200-page book. My project was too dense, too long, and so was the music, which gets the same flaws that The Winds of Heaven.

There's nothing to say about it. Some good pieces of music from time to time, but not much to remember, not even that it was a Digital Project which didn't sound really like it was supposed to.

So ends the Digital Project... so far ?
