e.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL

You have to start somewhere. I decided to start among the stars. Well, decided... You know, I was a teenager, and so many things change in your life where you are a teenager. You don't decide a lot, life carries changes for you, and you choose to grab them or not.
 

I started to play music at 13, and then discovered the power of cinema two years later, when I first saw E.T. on T.V. It's been such a tremendous shock that I couldn't express it in a few words.

This movie has been a revelation to me. One of the greatest revelations of my life. I learnt the infinite strength of images, of music coming with images. John Williams and Steven Spielberg became and still are today two of my gods.

As I tried at this time to express myself with music, my emotions found a way through this canal to get out of me.

The 1993 recording is quite bad. I saved it on tape (no computer in this early years, as for most of my albums until 2000). My keyboard allowed me to try a lot of things, but it was a bit primitive.

And I was not a great performer. I learnt by myself and you can hear it without any doubt.

Anyway I'm still proud of this first attempt, and some of this music deserves maybe to be listened to.

Not in the original version, however - so I'm currently working on a new version, with my technical means and musical abilites of 2021, which sound better than 1993's...
